So I want to make a Template to add to our main page because of the people who don't quite understand Roman Numerals. It'll explain how to properly use numbers all the way up to 99 (because I'm not sure if 100 "C" is going to be used by Jun because of where we are in the plot). Someone please add your input. I'd also like a chart of some sort so that it's more organized, but I'm more information-prone, not construction prone (which is why I suck with templates). Here it is:
Roman Numerals are very simple if you already understand them. You have 4 basic letters to represent numbers (below 100), and any other numbers are created simply by adding these letters together as they are needed.
Basic
- I = 1
- V = 5
- X = 10
- L = 50
- C = 100
Examples of Adding (Complex)
- IV = 4 (1 before 5)
- VI = 6 (1 after 5)
- VIII = 8 (5 and three 1s)
- IX = 9 (1 before 10)
- XI = 11 (1 after 10)
- XXX = 30 (three 10s)
- XL = 40 (10 before 50)
- LX = 60 (10 after 50)
- LXXX = 80 (three 10s -30- after 50)
- XC = 90 (10 before 100)
- XCVIII = 98 (8 after 90)
- CX = 110 (10 after 100)
