Dansen Garland was the head of the Garland family until he died under mysterious circumstances. Dansen's death led his daughter, Dahlia, to aid in a plot to assassinate a member of the Nightray Family, detailed in The Story of the Nightrays: Black Widow.

Dansen and his wife had a single child, whom they named Dahlia. However, Dansen and his wife were both elderly at the time of his wife's pregnancy, and so she died because she was unable to handle the stress of childbirth. Dansen established a very close relationship with his daughter, as she was all he had left, and because of this, Dahlia was not known to leave the Garland estate very often because she didn't want to part with her beloved father.

Eventually, Dansen died, leaving Dahlia devastated. The Garland family's servants all left the mansion except for one loyal valet, the family's butler. The Garland Butler stayed by Dahlia side in her time of need, as she searched for a miracle to bring her father back to her, keeping his body locked in a room of the mansion for half a year until she found her miracle.

Taking advantage of her vulnerability, a woman known only as The Great Mother told Dahlia that she could bring Dansen back to life. Dahlia was desperate and willing to do anything to bring back her father, and so she was inducted into The Great Mother's Cult, which sacrificed citizens of Reveil to their god.

After Oz, Gilbert and Break derail The Great Mother's plans, Dahlia comes to her senses and is implied to have moved on from the hope that her father could be resurrected.

Dansen was an elderly man at the time of his death.

Dansen was a loving father towards Dahlia as well as a dear friend of hers, caring for Dahlia and devoting all his time to her up until his death. According to the Garland Butler, Dansen seldom interacted with other people he was unfamiliar with.

Dahlia GarlandEdit

Dansen was known to have loved and cared for Dahlia and devoted all of his own time to her; he treated her more as a close friend than as a daughter. However, because of this, Dansen failed to see his daughter's obsession with him, and after Dansen had died, she became frantic over the loss of her only friend. Dahlia went on to murder people to attempt to resurrect her father.
